BACK TO MODERNITY

Design Week 2023
Milano| 18-23 April 2023

Was there a new definition of modernity? During the Milan Design Week, Rimadesio presented its own unique interpretation of this fundamental theme. In fact, many innovations were planned: from the new collection displayed in the completely renovated Milan Flagship Store to the communication strategy, which included the Modern Stories magazine and the new advertising campaign.

Wind

Rimadesio has created a new version of the traditional bookcase archetype that combines aesthetic lightness and technological innovation. The bookcase is a modular system made entirely of aluminum and features extruded shelves and die-cast uprights in both central and terminal versions. The bookcase achieves vertical modularity through the use of nylon fiber joints inserted into the uprights, which provide maximum stability. Each composition of the bookcase is completed with a laminated lacquered MDF top, covered by a double aluminum plate.

Zenit

Rimadesio's famous zenit bookcase aims to achieve both lightness and versatility in design. The bookcase's uprights are custom-made and fixed from floor to ceiling, allowing for flexible placement of the elements at desired heights and in desired numbers. The unique hooking system ensures maximum structural stability and enables each element to be leveled.

Vanity

Vanity is a designated corner for self-care, created to hold valuable items, cosmetics, and fragrances. It is specifically designed to seamlessly fit into Rimadesio's walk-in and storage systems through its custom-made height and depth, allowing for perfect integration.

Modular

The Modulor wall paneling system is known for its precise and meticulous design, but with the introduction of the exclusive Noce Sahara finish, it also gains a significant expressive value. The new glass Self sideboard and aluminum shelves are the main features of the system, placed at the center of the space, while the swing doors blend perfectly into the background.

The Modulor wall paneling system, designed by Giuseppe Bavuso, was one of the selected products for the 2020 edition of the ADI Design Index. Each year ADI, the Association for Industrial Design, through its Permanent Observatory, selects the best product or theoretical and business communication projects, which represents a preselection for the Compasso d’Oro the following year.
