CEA Design: How Industrialization and Sustainability are Revolutionizing Manufacturing

With a focus on innovation and sustainability, CEA has developed a production process that is highly efficient and environmentally friendly.

CEA collections encompass a vast array of products, ranging from bathrooms to kitchens, outdoor showers to ventilation systems, all expertly crafted from AISI 316L stainless steel. This material is not only 100% recyclable, but it also offers exceptional performance, boasting durability, resistance to external factors, and exceptional hygiene. The production process for these products involves precise mechanical techniques that have a low environmental impact and prioritize the responsible use of natural resources.

CEADESIGN is actively involved in all stages of product development, collaborating with architects and designers to bring their visions to life. The company's commitment to eco-friendliness, combined with its dedication to producing high-quality, innovative products, provides architects and designers with unparalleled versatility, competence, and efficiency. The result is a product with clean, timeless design, impressive technological features, and the ability to meet the ever-changing needs of clients in today's market.

From concept to finished product, every single step involved in CEA production is traced and managed to guarantee process times optimization and quality control. The company's production flow follows procedures that have been put in place for the reduction of waste, workplace ergonomics, vertical warehouses, and automated picking according to the canons of LEAN PRODUCTION.

Industrialisation 4.0 goes hand in hand with sustainability of the production site and process. The building that houses the company's headquarters develops vertically and favours levels below ground to reduce occupation of land planted with vegetation and lower impact on the surrounding environment. The underground production divisions exploit the natural insulation ensured by the ground for cooling and heating of their interiors. The energy used by this department is provided exclusively by renewable sources, while the testing units are powered by a closed-circuit system to safeguard water resources.

ABACO, the innovative modular system designed by Natalino Malasorti, has won the seventh edition of the Archiproducts Design Awards 2022, and has been awarded the Special Mention for Sustainability. This revolutionary design hides sanitary functions and engineering technology within a single volume, which is a step forward from the existing toilet-bidet designs.

Natalino Malasorti, the Artistic Director and Designer of ABACO, states that he considers this product a great achievement. He explains that no one has ever pushed themselves to this extent before. The plumbing and electrical parts are integrated with the flush and drain within a single system, making it an absolute novelty and an attraction for many architects and interior designers.  Natalino has been working on this project for almost ten years, and today, the result is above his expectations.

ABACO is entirely made of stainless steel, a high-performance, hygienic, antibacterial, and totally recyclable material that is ideal for use in the bathroom environment. Its durability over time is the essence of quality and ecology. The product's sustainability is further emphasized by the fact that it was evaluated by a specifically selected jury of eco-design and sustainability experts from the world of design and architecture.

Introduced in 2021, the Special Mention for Sustainability is an acknowledgment aimed at celebrating products that have distinguished themselves in terms of the use of recyclable and biodegradable materials, production techniques that reduce emissions, and have a minimum environmental impact throughout the entire life cycle of the product, from production to use by the end user. ABACO's innovative design and sustainability have made it a dream product for many architects and interior designers. The product's ability to hide sanitary functions and engineering technology within a single volume is a significant advancement in the bathroom industry. Natalino Malasorti and his team should be proud of their achievement, which is a testament to their dedication, innovation, and focus on sustainability

THE NEW BATHROOM DIMENSION
“ABACO is a common thread that runs through my entire life. It began when I was just a boy, following my father to construction sites to see how water pipes were laid. Then the extraordinary experience, still alive in me today, of bathroom design, an environment which is dear to me because it is rich in technology and innovation. However, my professional life has always been a search for simplicity and order, so I started thinking about the beauty of creating a modular container that would accommodate all the functions of the bathroom, but it had to be simple and straightforward. Only steel could convey all this: an extremely hygienic, antibacterial material, preserver of experience, knowledge and innovation, a friend. This new adventure begins with this.”
